His 24 years of experience as a chef is filled with passion, dedication, and a relentless pursuit of culinary excellence.

Buddhadeb is originally from West Bengal and has a degree in B.com honors. From the very first moments of his childhood, the aroma of his mother’s and grandmother’s cooking filled his heart with joy. Those cherished memories ignited a passion within him, one that would lead him on an extraordinary journey through the world of culinary arts and hospitality. Starting as a Kitchen Executive Trainee, he worked tirelessly, fueled by his love for food and the desire to perfect his craft. Initially Buddhadeb started as a Kitchen Executive Trainee and then grew as a Senior Chef. He holds a degree of MBA (HM) from Punjab Technical University, showcasing not only his culinary skills but also great hospitality management. He worked in many well-know firms like Doubletree By Hilton in Varanasi (Culinary Director),Lemon Grass Group of Hotel and Resort PVT LTD (Corporate Chef), Dhensa Boutique Resort & Spa in Punakha, Bhutan (Head Chef),: Rani Indian Bistro in Boston, United States Of America (Executive Chef), etc.

Buddhadeb takes great pride in his affiliation with prestigious culinary organizations. He is a respectable member of ICF (Indian Culinary Federation), ACF (American Culinary Federation), and WAOF (World Association of Chefs’ Society). These affiliations not only reflect his commitment to the culinary arts but also signify his dedication to work for betterment and contribute to the development of the culinary industry.

Buddhadeb is very versatile when it comes to his career choices. He also worked as a lecturer, he passionately shared his culinary knowledge with students, conducting practical classes spanning different cuisines. His culinary prowess extended beyond the classroom, as he contributed to the success of two Specialty Restaurants, for managing the preparation of meals for up to 100 covers. He trained thousands of students in Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management who are now working at renowned industries. He is praised for his skills to handle huge events and managing to serve thousands of people and successfully led teams in the planning and execution of large-scale events, managing minimum pax of 2,000 to 5,000, with meticulous attention to detail and a flair for modern concepts.

Buddhadeb was invited as a Head Examiner several times and an Active member to lead the Trainer Programme for Jharkhand Tourism Development Corporation.

When he was asked about his greatest achievement, he proudly mentioned an opportunity that came his way in 2009. He had the privilege of training tribal individuals in Hotel Management and Hospitality charity events for a period of 2 weeks. This unique initiative was organized by a self-help group in collaboration with the Jharkhand government, and he represented his college during this endeavor. He spoke about how challenging it was and how much he held immense value for that experience.

Budhadeb’s time in the United States proved to be an invaluable and transformative learning journey. While in Boston, he served as a corporate chef and later gained recognition as a celebrity chef entrusted with the task of overseeing diets and meal schedules. His active involvement in research teams dedicated to the creation of gluten-free foods, especially tailored for individuals with diabetes, showcased his dedication. His tireless efforts in crafting diverse, gluten-free menu options played a pivotal role in broadening culinary horizons. Budhadeb cherished this chapter of his culinary career as an immensely delightful and enlightening experience.

Buddhadeb’s culinary journey is driven by desire to constantly explore and innovate, he maintains an open attitude towards continuously learning new things. He explains his hunger for learning by saying “Jab tak app jio tab tak app seekho” which translates to “As long as you live, you must learn” this philosophy emphasizes his commitment to lifelong culinary education and growth.

To spread his knowledge and experience in the culinary world, a book has been published “The Essence of Indian Cuisine: A Comprehensive Guide to Indian Cooking.” where Buddhadeb is the author. The cookbook penned is an attempt to bring back the old authentic Indian recipes and culinary methods. This book is a celebration of flavors, traditions, and the profound connection between food and the heart.

For him, the joy of preparing a meal and serving it with utmost care and affection is a tradition that he experienced from his greatest inspirations, his mother and grandmother.
