Bridgeye Launches NOVA CLI v1.0, Aiming to Make AI Coding as Simple as Describing a Task

The Bengaluru-based company is building a terminal-based AI coding tool that eliminates complex setup requirements and brings code generation, testing and build verification into a single workflow.

As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly embedded in software development, the next challenge for developers is making these tools work seamlessly within their existing workflows. Separate AI accounts, API keys, model selection and additional usage costs can complicate what should be a straightforward process. Bengaluru-based Bridgeye Pvt. Ltd. is looking to address these barriers with the launch of NOVA CLI v1.0 on October 8, 2026.

The product is built around a simple idea: developers should be able to describe what they want to build or change in plain language, without having to navigate multiple configurations before getting started.

Unlike tools focused primarily on generating code, NOVA CLI is designed to work through a task within an existing project. It reads the codebase, makes the requested changes, runs the project’s tests and build process, attempts to fix issues that arise, and reports what it has verified.

For Bridgeye, established in January 2026, the launch represents an effort to make AI-assisted development more accessible while reducing the friction between an idea and its execution.

NOVA CLI Removes Setup Barriers to AI-Powered Software Development

One of NOVA CLI’s key differentiators is its approach to accessibility. The tool can be installed on Windows, macOS and Linux, allowing developers to get started without setting up separate AI accounts or configuring API keys.

Its paid plans offer access to more than 160 AI models, allowing users to switch between models without changing plans or paying different model-selection costs within the offering. The product is also free to try.

The platform is designed to work with a developer’s existing tests and build processes, avoiding the need to introduce a separate testing infrastructure. Git is integrated into the same workflow, helping developers manage code changes without repeatedly switching between tools.

“AI coding should not begin with the complexity of choosing models, managing API keys or setting up multiple accounts. Developers should be able to focus on what they want to build. With NOVA CLI, our goal is to make that process as straightforward as describing a task in plain language,” said Hassan Mulla, CEO of Bridgeye.

The product is intended for a range of development tasks, from building software and web applications to creating websites and 3D websites. By bringing implementation and verification into one workflow, Bridgeye aims to move beyond code suggestions towards completing practical development tasks.

From Frustrated AI Tool Users to Building NOVA CLI

The idea for NOVA CLI emerged from the founding team’s own experience with AI coding tools. Before developing the product, the founders were regular users of these technologies and encountered the limitations of incorporating them into everyday development.

Rather than accepting those shortcomings as part of the experience, they decided to build an alternative around the workflow they believed developers needed.

The four-person founding team brings together leadership across product development, engineering, information security and artificial intelligence. Hassan Mulla serves as CEO, Suhani Neeraj Gupta as CTO, Wallace D’Souza as CISO, and Dharmik Parmar as CAIO.

The team has prioritised rapid development and feedback-led iteration, frequently making significant changes when early users identify areas for improvement.

“We started out as users of AI coding tools ourselves, so we understood the gaps from firsthand experience. NOVA CLI grew out of the belief that developers should not have to spend so much time managing the tools they use to write code. We want the experience to feel natural, where you explain the task and the tool helps you carry it through,” said Suhani Neeraj Gupta, CTO at Bridgeye.

Security at the Core of Bridgeye’s AI Coding Approach

As AI coding agents gain the ability to interact with local files, modify code and execute commands, security is becoming an important consideration for developers evaluating these tools.

Bridgeye has incorporated security into its founding structure, with a Chief Information Security Officer as part of the core team from the outset. The company sees this as particularly relevant for a tool that operates directly within a developer’s working environment.

“When an AI tool can interact with your codebase and execute commands on your machine, trust cannot be an afterthought. Security needs to be considered from the beginning of product development. That principle has been central to how we approach NOVA CLI,” said Wallace D’Souza, CISO at Bridgeye.

The emphasis on security reflects a broader challenge facing AI development platforms: balancing the convenience of greater automation with the control and reliability developers expect from their tools.

NOVA CLI Gains Early Traction Through Product Launch and University Outreach

Bridgeye reports that its early outreach has generated more than 560,000 views and established over 10 university partnerships. These initiatives form part of its effort to introduce AI-assisted coding to developers and students.

The company also conducts AI coding workshops at institutions including IIIT Sonipat and AIT Pune, extending its work beyond product development to student engagement and technical learning.

NOVA CLI v1.0 ranked among the top 10 products on Product Hunt following its October 8 launch, according to the company. The ranking provides an early indication of visibility as Bridgeye enters a competitive market for AI-powered developer tools.

Commenting on the company’s approach to product development, Dharmik Parmar, CAIO at Bridgeye, said, “We believe the real value of AI coding lies in how effectively it helps people turn ideas into working products. That means looking beyond code generation to the entire development process, including testing, fixing issues and understanding what has actually been verified. We want NOVA CLI to make that process more accessible without adding unnecessary complexity.”

Can Natural-Language Coding Simplify the Developer Workflow?

As AI coding platforms evolve, the competition is shifting beyond the ability to generate code towards how effectively these tools integrate into real development environments. Developers still need to test implementations, resolve errors and ensure their projects build successfully.

NOVA CLI aims to bring these activities into a single terminal-based workflow while retaining the project’s existing tests and build processes.

For Bridgeye, the larger ambition is to make AI-assisted development less about managing multiple tools and more about communicating an intended outcome. The product’s long-term success will depend on its reliability, security and ability to handle increasingly complex development tasks.

With NOVA CLI v1.0, Bridgeye is inviting developers to explore an alternative approach to AI coding.
