SOFT Pune- Design Showcase 2026

Pune (Maharashtra) [India]: ‘SOFT Pune- Design Showcase 2026′ a fashion show organized by the School of Fashion Technology (SOFT), an institution under the aegis of the Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Sanstha recently concluded with great enthusiasm at Pandit Farms in Karvenagar.

The innovative ensembles presented by over 170 budding students from the Fashion Designing, Interdisciplinary, and Jewelry Designing departments captivated the audience. The central theme of the event was ‘Sustainable Fashion’ (Sustainability).

The showcase featured a beautiful fusion of Indian handicrafts and modern design, presented across a total of 14 distinct categories. A highlight of the show was the collection of garments created using modern techniques such as recycling and 3D printing. In addition to the fashion show, students from the Fashion Communication department organized an exhibition on visual merchandising and styling, while students from the Textile department also presented a highly engaging display.

Dignitaries- 

Mr. Santosh Kataria, President of the Indian Garment Manufacturers Association, attended the event as the Chief Guest. Other dignitaries present included Mr. Ravindra Deo (President, Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha), Mr. Milind Lele (Trustee), Dr. P.V.S. Shastri (Secretary), Management Committee members Ms. Seema Kamble, Mr. Abhay Kulkarni, and Mr. Mandar Parkhi, SOFT Principal Dr. Garima Bhalla, Dr. Suresh Karale, and other prominent figures from the fashion industry.

Show Jury

International Fashion Designer Nivedita Saboo, Costume Director Ken Ferns, Nikhil Furia (from the Garment Manufacturers’ Association), and Fashion Designer Mangesh Mahadev served as the judges for the fashion show.

The ‘Jean Hit Me Jaari’ collection—based on denim and jeans, a favorite across all age groups—by Arushi Agarwal, Yashvi Agarwal, Prashansa Asudani, Aditi Chavan, Yogita Jadhav, Simran Jaiswal, Kinal Jotangia, Srishti Kesharwani, Krishna Mishra, Anjali Nagtilak, and Akanksha Sinha.

Textile Designing Department – ​​‘Shashwatam’ Collection Best Award:

Anushka Asthana, Aradhana Sahu, Gunjan Bhosale, Nandini Biyani, and Vikesha Kale.

Interdisciplinary Department – 

​​‘Unfolding the Moment… Between’ Interdisciplinary Best Collection Award:

Vaishnavi Babanagare, Harshita Chaudhary, Inika Joshi, Arya Kale, Sakshi Nazare, Maithili Relkar, Mridula Ramakrishnan, Rutika Sakhare, Jwala Sagarika S., Ananya Shinde, and Soham Shah.
